Dioskilos is a huge two-headed wolf, confronted by Perseus in Medusa's Temple on the Isle of the Dead. It slays Perseus's companion Menas, then fights Castor and Solon before being slain by Perseus. This dog-like monster appears in the 1981 film, but is never mentioned by name. Dioskilos protects Medusa's lair from intruders; its apparent immunity to her petrifying gaze is never explained.
